John Owens, founder of the SBA CANES, has a vision to field the best players in the Country and compete at the highest levels nationally.   We will achieve this through our strong reputation, professional coaching and focus on "SHOWCASING" our talents as a TEAM

The culture of the 'Canes are based on shared beliefs throughout the coaches, parents, and players.  Those shared beliefs, or core values, are as follows:  P.I.T.C.H.

  • Prayer and Player Fulfillment: We advertise for Christ; therefore we pray before/after each game and play in his honor.  It is our responsibility to facilitate our players goals through Player Fulfillment.

  • Integrity: We define integrity as being "complete". We will play the game, manage the game, and provide Player Fulfillment with integrity.

  • Teach: We will teach and prepare you to play at the next level while learning to win AS A TEAM.

  • Customer Obsession: We strive to make everyone feel important.  That is true for our players and their parents.  We have to earn your trust each practice, each game, each year.

  • Have Fun: Baseball is a game; games are intended to be fun.
